Project Unity 2017 Youth Expo

10:00 pm - 07/14/2017

@ Warren Community Center

5460 Arden Ave Frnt
Warren MI  48092-4378

The 2017 Youth Expo sponsored by Project Unity Community Development Corporation (CDC) is an overnight retreat for young people between the ages of 12 – 17 at the Warren Communitiy Center beginning at 10 pm.

Our theme is “Breaking Down Walls To Cultivate Minds For Success.”

The purpose of the Youth Expo is to expand the minds of young people, and to equip them with the necessary skills to be future leaders, advocates, and agents for change in our communities. The ultimate objective of the Youth Expo is to foster an enlightened mindset and change lives. We are offering today’s youth something that will not only teach them how to be Purpose Driven, but enable them to go out and live it: Living in their purpose on purpose!

Youth attendees will be exposed to speakers who will provide them with guidance on how to find their purpose on this journey called “life”.

Workshops will be focused on content areas such as Relationships, Health, College Prep among other topic matters; allowing our youth to interactively engage with each other and feel comfortable in discussing “real world issues”.

Youth attendees will be empowered with necessary and important skills, to make sound & wise decisions, effectively communicate with each other, and prepare for their futures.

Youth attending the Expo will not only be enriched through the workshops but will also be able to use the gym for fun activities including basketball, volleyball and swimming.

The registration fee of $25 will include a t-shirt for each youth in attendance. If you have any questions about the event, please email Damon Thompson, damon@projectunitycdc.org.
