D’Art for Art is Crooked Tree Arts Center’s largest fundraiser of the year. A premier event in northern Michigan, D'Art for Art is not your typical fundraising party! It’s a two-day event with an arts and epicurean emphasis!

Preview Night, on Wednesday, July 18, is a strolling party with live music and dancing– you will meet the artists who donated more than 250 works of art, preview the D’Art artwork, enjoy wine and craft beer, sample dishes from featured chefs, and bid on select auction items.

Thursday’s D’Art for Art begins with cocktails and featured hors d’oeuvres from guest chefs and continues with a seated gourmet dinner. There are many wonderful items to bid on in both the silent auction and the live auction. The evening concludes with of course, “d’arting” for artwork! Guests leave with an original work of art- more than 250 artists support in this annual event.

What is "d'arting"?
D’Art is a game we play where everyone is a winner. Guests at the event on July 19 are able to “d’art” for their choice of more than 250 original pieces of work created by artists of local, regional and national acclaim to take home with them that evening - at no extra cost!

This year, we celebrate our featured artist, Stephen Palmer, whose mixed-media, found-object art, entitled "The Volunteer Fish", is the inspiration for this year’s theme. It is sure to be a creative and inspiring event!

Proceeds from D’Art for Art benefit the arts center’s year round programs including exhibitions, concerts, classes, school tours, dance, scholarships and so much more. If you would like to learn more about this distinctive event, please contact the arts center at 231.347.4337 or andrea@crookedtree.org.
